The Beginning

We've been dating for 4 years, but our story actually goes back almost a decade.

It all started in the year 2010. Zaka was 5'4", I wore too much eyeliner, you know, the standard 9th grade deal. We were in the same friend group and he borrowed my clothes for his Halloween costume.

This is the first time in my adult life that these images have graced the internet. Be kind.

That 'Life is Better Blonde' situation was my favorite shirt for about 6 months. Those were some dark days people.

Fast forward to 2014. Senior year of high school. Zaka grew into quite the stud - I must say, he caught my eye quite a few times over the years. But needless to say, we were still growing into ourselves.

Note Zaka's bald head and groovy shark shorts.

We graduated in July 2014. I headed off to Brown and Zaka made his way to Superior, WI for a gap year. We sent each other a RIDICULOUS amount of Snapchats. Ridiculous, I tell you.

I wrapped up my freshman year in Providence and came to Minneapolis for the first time to visit this boy I just couldn't stop thinking about.
