Minneapolis Engagement Session // Dana & Jim // Stone Arch Bridge, Boom Island Park

Updated: Oct 26, 2020

Can you believe that I drove to Dana and Jim's engagement session in THE RAIN? Like windshield wipers on, dark clouds on the horizon, and the weather radar app open on my phone. Dana and I had been texting back and forth about whether or not to postpone, but Jim was confident that it would clear in time to catch the sunset.

He was right. So right.

As we stepped out of our cars on St. Anthony Main, the last few raindrops fell and the sun broke out from behind the clouds. We were able to catch all the locations Dana & Jim picked out, PLUS have an awesome time with their puppy (if you need any more reasons to scroll through this post, there's a puppy with a bow tie. I'm serious. Don't miss out).

The evening glow across the Minneapolis skyline was the perfect backdrop for these two lovebirds. And I'm obsessed with the navy and blush color palette they chose.

After an outfit change, we made a quick stop to grab some shots with the iconic Grain Belt sign. Don't you just love the lace detail on Dana's dress?

And now for the part we've all been waiting for.

Dana & Jim's adorable golden retriever puppy, Hank, joined us for the end of their session at Boom Island Park. He was an absolute GEM and did such a good job smiling for the camera.

And that BOW TIE? I mean, come ON. It doesn't get much cuter than that.

Locations: St. Anthony Main, Stone Arch Bridge, Boom Island Park
